Hydra licence agreement: early access
Version 1, 4 October 2026. Draft for review.
In short
- You may use this early-access build on your own PC while early access lasts.
- Don't share it, sell it, or take it apart.
- It's unfinished. Back up your files and save your BitLocker recovery key before you install.
- Setup changes some Windows security settings so the beta driver can run. Uninstalling puts them back.
- Hydra checks its licence online and sends us technical reports; never your files, screens or keystrokes.
- It comes without a warranty, and our liability is limited as far as the law allows.
This summary helps you read the agreement; the full text below is what applies.
1. This agreement
This agreement is between you and URSIEN LTDA, a limited company (sociedade limitada) registered with the Junta Comercial of Minas Gerais, Brazil, NIRE 31218591492 ("we", "us"), the maker of Hydra. It covers the early-access builds of Hydra, their updates, and the licence key we send you (together, "the software"). You accept it by ticking the box in setup and installing. If you don't accept it, don't install the software.
You must be 18 or over, and install the software on a PC you own or are allowed to change. If you install it for an organisation, you accept this agreement for that organisation too.
2. What you may do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install the software and use it, free of charge, on the one PC your licence key is activated on, for as many seats as your licence allows, until early access ends or this agreement ends. You may move the licence to another PC by asking us to reset it.
3. What you may not do
You may not, and may not let anyone else:
- share, sell, rent or lend the software, your licence key or your download link;
- copy, modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the software, except where the law gives you that right whatever this agreement says;
- remove, disable or get around its licence check;
- use it to break the law or anyone else's rights.
4. Early access
The software is unfinished. It may have errors, change between builds, or lose its settings, and some features may never be released. We provide it so that you can try it and tell us how it works. You don't have to send us feedback; if you do, we may use it to improve Hydra, freely and without paying you, and we won't name you without asking.
You're free to talk about your experience with Hydra. Please don't publish the builds, your key or your download page.
5. What setup changes on your PC
Windows only loads drivers that Microsoft has signed. The beta driver isn't signed by Microsoft yet, so it runs in Windows' test signing mode, and Windows only allows test signing while Secure Boot is off. To install the software:
- you turn Secure Boot off in your PC's settings (setup checks it is off);
- setup trusts the driver's certificate and turns on test signing, so Windows shows a "Test Mode" note on the desktop;
- setup turns off Memory Integrity, which the driver doesn't support yet;
- setup asks Microsoft Defender to leave Hydra's own files alone;
- setup creates a System Restore point first, unless you choose not to.
These settings lower some of Windows' protections while they are in place, and some games' anti-cheat won't run with them. Uninstalling the software puts back what setup changed; you can then turn Secure Boot on again.
6. Your responsibilities
- Back up anything you can't afford to lose before you install, and keep backing up while you use the software.
- BitLocker or device encryption: save your recovery key somewhere off the PC before you install. Changing how Windows starts can make Windows ask for it. Without it, you can be locked out of your PC, with no way to get your files back. We can't recover the key for you.
- Other software: you're responsible for having the licences that Windows and the other software each person uses on your PC require, including when several people use them at the same time.
7. Licence check and the data the software sends
The software needs a valid licence to run its seats. It activates your key online, then checks in regularly. If it can't reach us for 7 days, or the licence has ended or been revoked, it turns its seats off and your PC runs as one normal PC until the licence is valid again.
To run the licence and fix problems, the software sends us your licence key, a one-way fingerprint of your PC's hardware, the PC's name, and short technical reports on how setup and the seats are doing. It sends a diagnostic report, with logs, only when you choose to. It never sends your files, screens or keystrokes. The privacy notice explains what each one holds and how long we keep it.
8. Updates and the end of early access
We may release new builds and ask you to install them; an old build may stop being supported. Early access ends on the date we tell you, and we may end it earlier for everyone. When it ends, your licence stops working: Hydra turns its seats off and your PC runs as one normal PC until you uninstall it or install a released version under its own terms.
9. Who owns what
The software is licensed to you, not sold. We and our licensors keep every right in it that this agreement doesn't give you. It includes third-party components under their own licences; their notices come with the software, and nothing here limits your rights under them.
10. Ending this agreement
You can end it at any time by uninstalling the software. We can end it, and revoke your licence, if you break it, or when early access ends. When it ends, uninstall the software. Sections 3, 9 and 11 to 14 still apply afterwards.
11. No warranty
The software is free early-access software, provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including that it will work on your PC, meet your needs, or run without errors or interruption.
12. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or time, or the cost of restoring your PC, and our total liability under this agreement is limited to 50 euros.
None of this limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability the law doesn't let us limit.
13. If you're a consumer
If you use the software outside your trade or business, you keep every right the consumer law of the country you live in gives you, and nothing in this agreement takes them away.
14. Law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the law of Brazil. If a dispute arises, please write to us first; we'll try to settle it with you. Otherwise the courts of São Lourenço, Minas Gerais, Brazil decide it, unless you're a consumer, in which case you can also go to the courts where you live.
15. Changes and the rest
We may update this agreement for later builds; a build that needs a new version asks you to accept it in setup. If part of this agreement can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn't giving it up. This agreement, with the privacy notice, is the whole agreement between us about the software.
