Privacy notice
Draft, for the pre-launch site.
Who we are
URSIEN LTDA, a limited company (sociedade limitada) registered with the Junta Comercial of Minas Gerais, Brazil, NIRE 31218591492, Rua Barão do Rio Branco, 550, Porta do Céu, São Lourenço - MG, 37470-000, Brazil, is responsible for your data (the "controller"). Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
What we collect on the site
Launch email: your email address and the language to write to you in, plus when you signed up and confirmed. Nothing else.
Application to test early: your email, name and country; details of your PC (graphics card, processor, Windows version, monitors, devices); how you'd use Hydra; your answers to the safety checklist; and anything you write in the notes.
Contact form: your email, optionally your name, the topic and your message.
We don't store your IP address with your answers. The server keeps it briefly in memory to stop automated spam, then forgets it. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ads.
What we collect when you test early
Your invite: which group of testers you're in, when we sent your invite, and which build you downloaded and when.
Your licence: when Hydra activates, it sends your licence key, a fingerprint of your PC (a one-way code made from its hardware, not your files) and the PC's name. It checks in now and then to keep the licence valid.
How it's running: short technical reports: whether setup worked, when the service starts, whether each seat came up and is healthy, when a change was applied, crash signatures, and uptime, with the Hydra version. They describe Hydra, not what you do on your PC: no screens, no keystrokes, no files.
Diagnostic reports: only when you choose to send one. It holds Hydra's logs, basic system details (Windows version, graphics, displays and devices) and the note you write.
Why
To tell you when Hydra launches; to choose early testers whose PCs cover as many different setups as possible and email them about testing; to run the licences of the test builds and find and fix problems in them; and to reply to your messages. We rely on your consent for the launch email, applications and messages, which you give with the checkbox on each form, and on the licence agreement you accept for what the product sends.
Who sees it
Only the Hydra team. We don't sell it or share it for advertising. Our providers store and send it for us, under contract and only on our instructions:
- the site's host: Cloudflare, Inc.;
- the platform's host, for sign-ups, testers, licences and reports: Microsoft Azure, operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (servers in Sweden, reached through Cloudflare), One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland;
- the email provider: Microsoft Corporation (Exchange Online), for the replies we send.
Where a provider handles data outside the European Union, it does so under the safeguards EU law requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- The launch email list: until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click link, and unsubscribing deletes your address.
- Applications, invites and licences: until early testing ends, then we delete them unless you've become a customer.
- Technical reports and diagnostic reports: two years, then we delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
- Messages: for as long as we need them to help you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent, at any time: write to [email protected]. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect what we did before. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).
